Originally from an NGC XF45 holder. A nice example with even circulation and a lack of an majorly obtrusive marks. Luster still present near the rims. The 1856-S Type I double eagle is a popular issue for a circualted type coin from this series and mint. Mintage of 1,189,750 coins in 1856 from the San Francisco mint.
