One of the most popular of all California Fractional Gold pieces. Struck by Frontier & Bellemere. Most likely Rarity-5 with regards to overall rarity, in this superb gem grade, High-Rarity 6 to Rarity 7. A wonderful coin with velvety surfaces and intense luster. One of only three Washington Head varieties that exist for the octagonal Period II quarter series, the others, BG-723 and BG-724 being significantly more rare.
